Cover fluxes, also known as covering agents or covering fluxes, are materials used in metallurgical processes to protect the molten metal from atmospheric oxidation and other contaminants. They form a protective layer or barrier on the surface of the molten metal, helping to minimize or prevent reactions with the surrounding air or gases. Cover fluxes are commonly used in various metal casting and refining processes, such as Aluminum Casting, Steel Casting; and Copper and Copper Alloy Casting.
Specifications
- Cover-Flux-11(Red Colour) - Used in rotary, the crucible, and electric furnaces that generate exothermic reactions and give a dross exceptionally low in metal content.
- Cover-Flux-5 (White Colour) - Cover Flux-5 makes a protective chloride layer over the molten Aluminium metal which dramatically reduces the oxidation of the hot metal.
- Cover-Flux-88 (Blue Colour) - The flux is poured into the wall of the final high-temperature heating furnace, and the metal slag is removed from the wall of the furnace.
