Magnesium Master Ignots

These Ingots contain 80% Magnesium and 20% Aluminium and there is no other impurity element in it. As Extrusion plants prefer to use LM6 (13% Silicon Aluminium Alloy) as compared to Pure Silicon Metal, in the same way Extrusion Industries are now preferring to use 80% Magnesium Master Alloy Ingots due to its beneficiary results in billet making. 3. The addition of magnesium and silicon to Aluminium produces the compound magnesium-silicide (Mg2Si). The formation of this compound provides the 6063 and other 6xxx series their heat-treatability. By Using 80% Magnesium Ingots, better homonized Magnesium-Silicide structure produce as compared to pure Magnesium due to which we get better extrudability and age-hardening in Aluminium Extrusion.
